Members of the Thomas family have owned and operated a Real Estate office in the Warburton Township and other townships of the Upper Yarra Valley since 1919.
Wayne B. Thomas was registered as a Licensed Surveyor in Victoria in 1980 and commenced a private surveying practice in 1983, as part of the family owned KG Thomas Pty. Ltd. Real Estate business. Wayne B. Thomas has also been registered as a Licensed Surveyor in New South Wales & Tasmania.
Timothy George completed a Bachelor of Applied Science in Surveying (RMIT) in 1991 & commenced working with Wayne B. Thomas as a Graduate Surveyor in 1995. He successfully completed a training agreement under the direction of Wayne B. Thomas, and was registered as a Licensed Surveyor in Victoria in 2002.
The surveying practice has continued to grow since its inception, and the establishment of Thomas & George Pty Ltd in 2008 is the next stage in the growth of the original Wayne B. Thomas surveying practice as it rebrands itself as a company in its own right. This also coincides with the expansion of our services into the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, with an additional office now located in Croydon Hills.
The offices being located in the urban/rural fringe area of the City of Melbourne, has resulted in a good understanding of the specific issues that affect the development of both urban and rural properties, and the particular surveying requirements associated with such development. We have gained an extensive knowledge of projects ranging from:

Our staff’s combined experience exceeds 70 years within the Surveying Industry. The team actively participate in Further Professional Education & Training programs to keep “up to date” with the latest technologies available, amendments to existing legislation and Surveying Practice directives.
Thomas & George Pty Ltd. Licensed Surveyors continues to be located within the main street of Warburton (next to the Post Office and opposite the Water Wheel).
Bushfire Recovery Surveys
The Marysville, Kinglake, Healesville & Murrindindi Areas were devastated by the 07th February 2009 bushfires.
Our firm can assist property owners in their recovery & response to this natural disaster to re-establish and protect the titles to their properties prior to re-building etc commencing.

Thomas & George Licensed Surveyors are also involved in providing some volunteer work for the State Government to ensure that the existing Permanent Survey Marks in these areas are located & protected prior to the arrival of the “cleanup” machinery.
This vital community service will ensure that these townships recover in the quickest time frame possible and this involvement will commence immediately all of these areas become accessible, and hence then assist in reducing the cost for property owners engaging Land Surveyors to re-establish their boundaries.
